Bhubaneswar: In the All India Senior Level Essay and Quiz competition organized by the KIIT University as a prelude to the 99th Indian Science Congress to be held from January 3 to 7 next at the KIIT,Odia girl,Apramita Chand, a student of Chemistry PG, Utkal University, won the first prize.
Kaushal Agarwalla of Assam won the second prize and Richa Kumari of Karnataka the third prize in the essay competition. The first, second and third prize winners will get Rs5 lakh, Rs 4 lakh and Rs 3 lakh, respectively as prize money.
In the junior category, Rohit Sharma of Himachal Pradesh stood first while Roshni H Channal of Karnataka and Urja Narayan of Jharkhand secured second and third positions respectively. The prize money for hem is Rs 4 lakh, Rs 3 lakh and Rs 2 lakh, respectively.
During the Indian Science Congress all the winners will be awarded with the prizes.
