CM communicates strong message to police on women atrocities

Bhubaneswar:While reviewing the law and order situation in the state,Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Tuesday warned the police authorities with strong legal action against non-registration of FIRs on cases of crime and atrocity against women.

CM said that instruction had been given to the Director General of Police to register all cases of women atrocities as FIRs for investigation and necessary action, if not done.

The Chief Minister in his strong message to the policemen said, “Particular attention must be given to women of Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and minority communities.”

The recent gangrape incidents committed on girls belonging to Dalits and minority community in the state has become a matter of concern of the government.
