Bhubaneswar: Kidnapping of a 22-year-old girl was foiled in the state capital as police intercepted the car in which she was taken away by the students.
According to sources,the girl on being lured by the kidnappers with a job offer, came to Fortune Tower to attend an interview from where the students took her in a car.The students injected sedative to her as she entered the car.Drawing attention of the public,the girl shouted and thumped the window screen of the car.
Fortunately,a local youth noticing the girls plight informed immediately the PCR (Police Control Room) van which chased the vehicle and finally nabbed the culprits.
The girl was molested in the running car and thrown out of the vehicle by the kidnappers.She was recovered from the road by the police after intercepting the car in which she was taken away by the students.The girl has human bite injuries on her legs and forearms.
The students, identified as Sagar Biswal and Sunil Rao,and the car driver were arrested by the police. A case of kidnapping and molestation will be registered after their interrogation. The girl's statement has been recorded,
